In July, we brought together Senior Leaders from primary schools across the country to film a two-part YouTube series. We discussed the challenges they faced as their schools were forced to close, how they adapted learning from home, and how they are preparing for welcoming their pupils back in September.

Here’s a taster of what they said below. You can also find a round-up of what we discussed by downloading our free eBook.
What are some of the challenges teachers are facing?
“It’s plugging the gaps and making sure that the learning hasn’t been lost” – Rebecca Blakey, Year 6 Teacher and Request Your Pilot TodayAssistant Headteacher at New York Primary School, North Tyneside
“It’s going to be the emotional well-being of our children. That’s hugely important.” – Sinead Walsh, Head of School, Holy Spirit Primary School, Holy Cross Primary School, St. Helens
“It’s all about logistics really… now you’ve got to double your numbers in our case and think, well, actually will it still work for the full community coming back? I think, is the biggest challenge.” Jill Shaw, Headteacher, New York Primary School, North Tyneside.
Thank you again to the Senior Leaders who took part in this series.
